Compound Machines
Compound machines are made of many simple machines working together. There are six simple machines.
1. The Lever
2. The Pulley
3. Gear
4. Inclined Plane
5. Wedge
6. Wheel and Axle

The Lever
There are three types of levers:
First is the first class lever and it is equally from the vulcrom on both sides
Work = Force times * Distance
IMA = Distacne * Effort / Distance * Resistance
AMA = Force * Distance * Resistance / Force * Effort

Wheel and AxleThe Wheel and Axle is a combination of both a Wheel and a Lever. The Lever Is what makes the Wheel the wheel be able to turn and to be stedy enought to be able to turn. Like for example if you have a gear and thats your wheel than you have to put a lever in the middle of it and connect your chain from one gear to the other and by hand movement or by conecting a motor to the end of it. It will make the lever move that will make the gear move and then the chain will move and make the other gear move. The Lever is set up like this " it has the Lever on the left side, The effort in the middle and the Resistance on the right side, The lever will end up going inside the axle.
